They started brightly against the Cumbrians, Aaron Fleming heading narrowly wide from a fourth-minute corner.

Blackpool adapted well to the wind and rain as they continued to take the game to the visitors in the second half. Jackson Hulme, Dean Ing and Fleming all had chances, and Jack Williams blazed over on 78 minutes.

The impressive Chris Wraight breakaway goal four minutes later consigned Blackpool to a fifth straight defeat.
