BLACKPOOL Cricket Club have signed 21-year-old South African Dale Deeb as their professional for 2012.

He’s an all-rounder, who plays for Gauteng and North West province in his native land.

Deeb is a left-handed batsman and slow left-arm bowler, who made his first-class debut in South Africa 2008.

He was South Africa Under-19s’ second-highest wicket-taker in their series win over England in 2009.

Northern Premier League champions St Annes have lost Ben Dowling to Great Harwood.

A new arrival is Callum Jones, previously with Keighley.

Charles Boucher, who missed much of the 2011 season, has been given a clean bill of health for this term.
