The momentum switched to Hodgson as Sam Mellodew completed his three-over spell with 2-10, including a wicket maiden.
Higham maintained impetus with the bat before he retired on 28 in the 10th over.
Although Toby O’Neil contributed well with an unbeaten 12, credit to the good fielding and tight bowling of Hodgson to restrict AKS to 73.

It was, however ,the left-arm bowling of Oliver Raynor (3-7), with a three wicket maiden, that really changed the context of the game along with a second wicket for Child.
Laycock and Ashton showed good resistance in the Hodgson lower order but their team finished 22 runs short on 51-7.
Victory for AKS in a fine contest and the schools are looking forward to a rematch in the eight-a-side competition.
