Campbell delighted to be back

DJ Campbell feels he has unfinished business to attend to as he finally makes Bloomfield Road his permanent home.

It is the striker's third spell with the Seasiders but the first time he hasn't been on loan.

And the 28-year-old can't wait to get started.

"Being a permanent Blackpool player after all this time makes me feel hungry and as though I want to succeed and help the club stay up," said the frontman, who will wear the number 39 shirt.

"I've been wanting this for I don't know how long now and finally it has come true so I am delighted to be here.

"All the fans and all the players know I wanted to come back and I am just delighted that it has been made possible.

"I am delighted to be in the Premier League and it is a bonus to be in the Premier League with Blackpool."

POOL came within a whisker of signing midfielder Mamadou Bah yesterday – only to miss out because of issues over a work permit.

The 22-year-old had jetted into England and agreed terms, and was all set to be unveiled as a Blackpool player before the deal fell through.

Bah, a Guinean international at French club Strasbourg, did end up getting a deadline day move though – joining Stuttgart on a long-term deal.
