The waiting and uncertainty is finally over for Blackpool boxer Brian Rose, with the date and venue for his eagerly anticipated world title fight due to be announced on Thursday evening.
Rose is set to fight holder Demetrius Andrade, of the USA, for the World Boxing Organisation world light-middleweight title.
The 29-year-old is due to make the announcement in person on Sky Sports’ Ringside programme on Thursday (6pm).
Rose tweeted: “Looking forward to my ‘ringside’ debut on Thursday in London. I will be announcing date/venue of my world title challenge”
Beaten only once in 27 pro fights, Rose became the mandatory challenger for the world crown when he defeated Argentina’s Javier Maciel in a title eliminator in Sheffield last October.
It has been a waiting game ever since for Rose, with the Andrade fight mooted for either Atlantic City or New York in late May.
All will finally be revealed this week.
