CHAMPION Prince Arron has designs on holding on to his Lonsdale Belt for keeps – and is determined to beat Blackpool’s Brian Rose at Wigan tomorrow night, on the way to fulfilling that ambition.
Arron has grown in confidence and standing since winning Prizefighter and then going on to beat Sam Webb to take the British title.
And he is confident he has the tools to deal with Rose’s challenge tomorrow night.
Arron said “I would love to fight for European Title but it has always been my ambition to win the Lonsdale Belt outright.
“I want to achieve this by mid-2012 and then go on to win European and World honours.
“I know Rose quite well as we have sparred against each other in the past, and I know he is coming to try and take away my belt, but there is no way I am giving up my title.”
Tickets are still available for tomorrow night’s bill at Robin Park Centre, Wigan when Rose bids to become the first fighter from Blackpool to win a British title in 50 years.
