FORMER two-weight world champion Ricky Hatton will pay a visit to protégé Adam Little’s college for a training session and question-and-answer, ahead of the Kirkham fighter’s next bout on March 2.

Little, who studies sports development at Preston College, has had an outstanding start to his professional career and is unbeaten in his first four fights.

Hatton will put Little through his paces in an open training session for students on the college’s sports development and sport coaching programmes, so they can learn from the former world champion’s coaching methods.

College tutor Janine Garcia said: “Adam has studied with us since leaving school and we’ve followed his career with great enthusiasm.

“Adam is working with one of the best in the business and we’re gratefully to Ricky for letting our students see an intense training session in practice.”

The sessions will take place on February 21. Little will box next on a bill at Bury’s Castle Leisure Centre. The card, to be broadcast live on YouTube via Hatton TV, will see Kieran Farrell challenge for his first professional title against Jon Baguley.

Heywood’s Farrell, 21, has romped to victory in all 11 professional fights and lost just one round during the three-year period.

The bill will showcase some of the North West’s best young fighters, including Little, Jimmy Kelly and Ryan Doyle.

Boxing starts at 7pm and tickets, priced £30 (£55 ringside), are available via 01925 755222, 08448 472500 (Ticketmaster), 08448 889991 (Ticketline) or www.hattonboxing.com.
