The Sky Sports transmission starts at 7.30pm and Cardle is scheduled to be the second bout on the card, which kicks off with former Olympian Lawrence Okolie taking on Lukasz Rusiewicz in a four-rounder.

It is an important fight for Cardle at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow.

If he defends for the third time against English champion Barrett, he will keep the coveted Lord Lonsdale Belt for good.

Both boxers were within the 9st 9lb limit at the weigh-in.
