Lytham fighter Scott Cardle faces the toughest contest of his professional career in Glasgow on Saturday night.
The unbeaten lightweight takes on Gary Fox, of Fishburn, in a battle of champions.
Cardle is Central Area title holder, while Fox, beaten just once, is the Northern Area belt holder.
The Lytham boxer will start favouritin the eight-rounder, which will have the added attraction of being shown on television.
The promotion - headlined by Ricky Burns versus Raymundo Beltran - is being shown on Sky Sports tv.
The Sky broadcast commences at 8pm with a scheduled six-rounder against Liverpool’s Callum Smith taking on Kirill Psonko, of Lithuania, at super-middleweight.
This will be followed by the Cardle v Fox fight.
Cardle won the Central Area strap in the spring with a points win at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool over Maxi Hughes.
Fox has won 11 out of 12 fights.
His sole loss was to William Warburton back in 2011 in only his third contest.
