YOUNG defender Ashley Eastham is on his way to League One side Notts County after turning down the chance to stay at Fleetwood.
The Cod Army had agreed to extend his loan deal for a further month with Pool chairman Karl Oyston.
But The Gazette understands the player was unhappy with the amount of football he was getting at Highbury, and instead asked to leave.
He started only one game during his month-long loan, the 5-2 home hammering against Port Vale.
The 21-year-old is highly rated at Bloomfield Road, and has already plenty of Football League experience under his belt.
He played 25 times on loan at Bury last season, having previously enjoyed spells at Cheltenham and Carlisle.
He has signed an initial one-month loan deal at County and will go straight into the squad to face table-topping Tranmere tomorrow.
