A blaze at a large commerical premises fire saw large amounts of smoke sent into the sky around Thornton Cleveleys.
Lancashire Fire Service took a 999 call on Sunday morning reporting a fire on the Fleetwood Road North site involving the flammable residue of an otherwise empty storage tank and a propane cylinder.
Firefighters from Bispham and Fleetwood were the initial response and set up water jets, calling for two more fire engines and crews.
More fire crews were then called, with Blackpool and South Shore crews joining to tackle the blaze as well as specialist firefighting foam tender and a support pump from Preston.
Crews initially thought the surrounding area needed to be evacuated, but later decided this was not necessary, although locals were advised to keep their windows shut.
An investigation is now being undertaken into the cause of the fire.
