A judge granted the footballer bail with a condition that he does not contact the complainant.

Glendon has made 25 appearances for the League One club this term and last featured as a late substitute in the 1-0 win over Walsall last week.

In a statement on their website, the club said: “Fleetwood Town Football Club have been made aware of legal proceedings involving one of our employees surrounding an alleged incident which occurred before his arrival at the club.

“It’s a matter we were previously unaware of, and we will be making no further comment during the course of proceedings.”

The case was listed in a court dealing with cases where not guilty pleas are anticipated.
