This year it was all change, as usual venue Lowther Pavilion was unavailable due to refurbishments.
There were even fears earlier this year that the festival might be scuppered.

As well as 80 cask ales plus ciders and perries, and live music on the Friday and Saturday nights, festival goers have the chance to support Lytham RNLI which was selected as the festival charity.
Drinkers were able to sample local ales as well as tipples from throughout the world.
Festival Chairman Paul Smith said: “We were able to welcome everyone to the ninth Lytham Festival, the festival that nearly didn’t happen.

“We have tried yet again to get the best selection of cask ales, ciders, perries and world bottle beers that we can get out our hands on.
“There were around 80 casks to choose from, 16 ciders and perries and fridges full of world beers to keep up with the punters’ unquenchable thirst.”
Publicity officer Russell Cobb said: “This year’s we’ve gone more for the established breweries rather than the smaller ones, just as a change, and the beer has been flying out of the barrels.
“We’re really pleased with how things have gone - especially as we came close to not happening at all.”
The festival continues tonight with classic rock outfit Don’t Panic providing the live sounds.
