Travellers have left a Blackpool playing field following an operation led by Blackpool Council.
Caravans were parked on Fishers Field, at the junction of St Annes Road and Highfield Road on Tuesday.
The travellers are understood to have been issued with a summons to appear at court at 10am today.
Following that hearing tow trucks were seen arriving at the fields.
Officers from Lancashire Police are understood to be supporting the operation.
A police spokesman said the force’s main role was to ensure there was no breach of the peace.
Blackpool Council confirmed the caravans had now been removed from the land.
The authority said it did not know where the travellers had moved to.
A clean-up operation is now under way and the playing fields are expected to be open for use tomorrow.
