A Blackpool mum whose struggle with alcohol addiction was documented on a hit TV show has died at the age of 36.

Lindsay Taylor, who appeared on 999, What’s Your Emergency? in 2012, was found dead at her home in Branstree Road, Mereside, police confirmed.

Her death was not treated as suspicious and an inquest will be held at a later date.

Ms Taylor was subjected to ridicule and torment following the controversial documentary, and entered rehab in a bid to turn her life around after seeing herself on screen.

But she faced further legal trouble months later after falling off the wagon.

She was pronounced dead at around 2.40pm on Tuesday, April 5.
