ICE-cool keeper Craig Lea saved the day for FC Eden in a cliffhanging penalty shoot-out that clinched the Blackpool and Fylde Alliance team a place in the last 16 of the Lancashire Sunday Trophy.
Lea kept his nerve when the fourth round clash with Burnley visitors Healywood United boiled down to a straight fight between the two goalies.
Deadlocked 2-2 after extra-time, Eden won through 11-10 after Lea followed every outfield player by nett
ing from the spot and then keeping out the 22nd attempt. His versatility booked Eden a ticket to Red Lion of Colne.
The evenly-matched teams were level 1-1 at 90 minutes after Kyle Bingham cancelled out Healywood's half-time lead in the delayed tie at Fleetwood Road, Anchorsholme. Former Blackpool and Fleetwood Town man Ciaran Donnelly got the second for the Division Two A title-chasers.
Eden join three other Alliance sides in the fifth round on November 30 and all are away – Layton Institute to Copper Pot of Littleborough, Northern Care to Preston's New Meadow Street Labour Club and Devonshire Arms to Station hotel of Blackburn.
Meantime, West Coast Tackle Postal FC player-manager Daryl Prance applauded the opposition and referee for ensuring that he and two clubmates undertook their normal stewarding duties at Bloomfield Road.
Defender Prance, his dad Royston and injured striker Arran Payne made it to the Seasiders-Preston derby thanks to Rossall Tavern and Blackpool whistler Rick Parr agreeing to kick off soon after breakfast at Common Edge Road.
Two goals from John Emery helped West Coast win the DIVISION TWO A game 3-2 and Daryl Prance said: "This summed up the meaning of the Respect campaign which we're hearing all about.
"It was good that Rossall agreed to come all the way from Fleetwood. Also the referee had no problem with accommodating an early start."
Spindles picked up their first win by dominating the dogfight with pointless Highfield Social. Robert Greaves scored a hat-trick in the 6-1 outcome, which was Highfields' heaviest defeat.
Squirrel had the edge on Claremont Cons thanks to Adrian James, who bagged four as his team won by the odd goal in nine.
In the PREMIER DIVISION, nine-man The Crescent were overrun by Northern Care, for whom David Cram took advantage of the bottom team's shortage to grab four goals in the 7-0 win.
Champions Quilligans regained top spot with a hard-earned 2-0 win over Wrea Green, who were on level terms at half-time. Substitute Carl Faber sealed victory by scoring on his debut.
Quilligans got there courtesy of Poulton Seniors losing for the first time, 3-2 to Red Rose Catering.
Halfway House lead DIVISION ONE on goal difference from Bloomfield Veterans after winning the key clash with Fylde Coast Gates 3-1. It left Gate third after they, Halfway and Veterans started the day level on points.
Fleetwood Cricket Club went second in the table by taking full points in the only DIVISION TWO B game played. They beat Progress Sports and Social 2-0.
Foulds Metals kept up the pressure on leaders MA2 in DIVISION THREE A. By beating Teamsport 3-0, they ensured they stayed three points behind with a game in hand.
Hampton Road Social's 4-0 win over Metrostars put them five points clear in DIVISION THREE B but unbeaten second-placed FC Matrix have three games in hand.
