THERE’S no doubt children across the Fylde coast are poised to pen a letter to Santa with their Christmas wish list.
And now 10 lucky youngsters will be given the chance to meet and have breakfast with the man himself, as part of a competition by The Gazette and Blackpool’s Houndshill Shopping Centre.
Sue Bentley, promotions manager for The Gazette, said: “We want you to write a letter to Santa, telling him why you would like to meet him, and what present you are hoping for this Christmas.
“Remember to keep your writing big so Santa can read it!”
The letter should be on an A4 portrait piece of paper and be no more than 50 words including your name. You can add a touch of festive sparkle with a drawing of Santa, or Rudolph.
Add your age, address and telephone number on the reverse and post to Breakfast with Santa, The Gazette, Avroe House, Avroe Crescent, Blackpool, FY4 2DP. Entries should arrive by November 30.
A selection of the best entries will feature in The Gazette and on Houndshill’s Facebook page.
The winning children will have breakfast with Santa at the Houndshill Shopping Centre on Saturday, December 15.
The shopping centre is offering even more time to shop this Christmas, with late night openings until 8pm on Thursdays from November 22. And between December 17 and December 23 the centre will be open until 8pm every night.
Free parking will also be available from 5pm until closing each Thursday from November 22 until November 27.
And there will be more festive fun at Houndshill on December 8 with the arrival of Bjorn, the life-like polar bear, and his arctic explorer. Children can learn facts about the polar bear and the effects of global warming and there will also be a craft workshop between 10am and 4pm.
Standard Gazette competition rules apply for Breakfast with Santa.
