X Factor star Chris Maloney is set to charm the audiences when he appears in a Fylde coast pantomime.
The singer, from Liverpool, came third in the 2012 series of X Factor – having only made the live shows as the series’ wildcard winner.
Now he will play Prince Charming in Trio Entertainment’s classic seasonal family favourite, Cinderella, which will feature at the Marine Hall in Fleetwood this December.
Waterloo Road actor Reece Douglas, who plays Denzil in the BBC school drama, will appear as Buttons.
A Wyre Council spokesman said: “With hilarious comedy, catchy songs and colourful dance routines, this classic rags-to-riches story has everything you’ve come to expect from a Marine Hall pantomime – and more.
“It’s the perfect traditional family treat for the whole family.”
The pantomime runs from December 11 to 14, with tickets costing £8.
In the run-up to Christmas, the Marine Hall will also be hosting an 80s vs 90s party night on December 19.
The council spokesman added: “You may have heard a ‘careless whisper’ that Marine Hall is hosting an awesome 80s vs 90s party night.
“Well, the rumours are true, so dust off your shoulder pads and leg warmers, and get ready for a great night of Christmas celebrations.
“Whether you’re a child of the 80s or a 90s wannabe, this is the night for you.”
There will be live music from Trident, a DJ and a hog roast supper all included in the £24 ticket cost.
Fancy dress on the night is optional.
Before the main festive season gets fully underway, the hall will be hosting its Christmas Market on November 30, with local food producers, craft and gift stalls all under the one roof.
With everything in one place, the Christmas Market is simply ideal for anyone looking for a gift for a hard-to-buy-for relative.
