FIREFIGHTERS will be putting their hoses to use in a different way this Saturday.

Crews from Blackpool fire station on Forest Gate will be holding a car wash to raise money for Donna’s Dream House.

The Blackpool holiday home for seriously ill children was badly damaged by fire in December which meant it had to temporarily close.

And firefighters who helped out with the clean-up at the centre decided they wanted to do their bit to help the charity. They will be washing cars from 10am on Saturday. Len Curtis, founder of Donna’s Dream House was the first to have his car washed.
