A FORMER hotel worker has been put on the sex offenders’ register for five years after molesting a woman on the balcony of her flat.
Valter Andrade, 34, of Devonshire Square, Blackpool, admitted sexually assaulting the 24-year-old.
Andrade, who was born in Angola, was ordered to pay £500 compensation to his victim and put on 12 months’ supervision by Blackpool magistrates.
Keith Kirkham, said the victim was on the balcony landing of her Blackpool flat with two female friends at around 5.30pm on September 5 when Andrade appeared.
Andrade, who had been drinking, groped one of the women and began to undo his belt saying: “I’ll be back for one of you three tonight.”
Steven Townley, defending, said his client had a dreadful upbringing with an alcoholic, abusive father during the civil war in Angola.
Mr Townley added: “He drinks to forget and he does not know what he is doing.”
