FIREFIGHTERS rescued a pensioner from her car following a collision at a roundabout.
The 70-year-old was suffering from neck and spinal injuries after the crash at the Norcross roundabout near Amounderness Way in Norcross.
Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to the scene just after 11.30am yesterday.
Mike Pilkington, crew manager at Bispham fire station, said: “We helped the ambulance service to get the woman onto a long board. We then managed to get her out through the rear window.
“She was taken off to hospital to have her injuries checked over.
“It was a two car crash at low speed.”
The woman’s husband, the driver of the Vauxhall car, and the driver and passenger of the other car, a Mercedes, were unhurt.
