A WOMAN was taken to hospital when her car overturned during a test drive.
The black Kia Picanto car was travelling on Amy Johnson Way at 3.10pm on Sunday when she crashed, trapping the car against a building.
The driver, believed to be in her 60s, was testing the car with a salesman from the Chorley Nissan garage on the same road when the incident occurred.
The driver and passenger were released by firefighters from South Shore and St Annes, and the driver was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital for a check-up.
The salesman was assessed by paramedics at the scene but did not need treatment. Steven Arnold, watch manager at South Shore Fire Station, said: “We entered through the hatchback and put the driver on a longboard and she was taken to hospital. There was a little bit of damage to the building, but the car was seriously damaged.”
