JUDGES went wild for this dazzling logo which was designed by a Blackpool Student.

Art and Graphic Design students from Blackpool Sixth form were tasked with creating a logo for the newly opened North Blackpool Pond Trail.

But there was only one winner when judges spotted Katie Hampson’s stunning frog design. The Fleetwood student, who is 17 scooped £75 of arts equipment during a ceremony at Bispham’s Kincraig lake.

Katie said: “I am really pleased as it is a great achievement to have won the competition.

“I particularly enjoy the fact the logo I created will be used to encourage people to appreciate the local wildlife.”

She was presented with her prize by Blackpool North MP, Paul Maynard and Coun Don Clapham, Mayor of Blackpool.

The North Blackpool Pond Trail project encourages people to access nature within their environment. It is a three year project, organised by Groundwork Lancashire West.
