EVERY time Holly Subritzky walks into her local Next, the shop assistants do a double-take.
That’s because the 18-year-old, from Hambleton, features on a huge poster in the store’s window display.
She beat more than 7,800 hopefuls to bag a place in the top 10 of high street chain Next’s competition, Make Me the Next Model Too.
She spent time in London being photographed and taking her first steps down the Next catwalk, before jetting over to Paris to film a TV advert for the company.
Now she’s in the Next window in The Houndshill shopping centre, Blackpool.
Holly, who has just qualified as a dental nurse, now hopes to pursue a career as a model.
She said: “It’s been a really good experience, and I just felt really happy when I saw the picture in the Next window.
“I’m really pleased with how it looks. You never know, people might even recognise me now when I go shopping!
“It’s been so good to do this with Next, it gave me the confidence and pushed me to get in touch with a modelling agency in Manchester,
“So it really did help to start me off along that path. I do hope to go into modelling full-time, as I love it.
“I am so glad I entered the competition after my mum spotted it, and told me to do it.
“I never expected to get anywhere, and would probably have never contacted a modelling agency before either.
“This whole experience has been great, I urge people – whatever they want to do in life – to just go for it. You never know how far you could go.”
