A charity water polo tournament is to take place in Blackpool on Saturday.
The event, which will run from 12.30pm to 5pm, will be held at Palatine Leisure Centre.
It will raise money for a small local charity, Parkinson’s Preston and Fleetwood, and also promote the sport of water polo in Blackpool.
Paul Wilkinson, vicechairman of Blackpool Aquatics ASC, said it is hoped residents will turn out in their droves to support the event.
It is set to feature some of the region’s best water polo teams.
Parkinson’s Preston and Fleetwood provide a place for Parkinson’s Disease sufferers, their families and carers to come and meet other people with similar needs.
They provide exercise therapy sessions and look to provide new equipment.
