Veterans and guests gathered to mark the 70th anniversary of the famous Dambusters raid at a charity lunch in Lytham.
Around 120 people were treated to a fly past by a Typhoon from Warton Aerodrome as part of the event at the Clifton Arms Hotel, on West Beach.
The lunch has been running for the past eight years and is usually held around St George’s Day.
However, this year it was decided the commemoration of 617 Squadron’s brave mission in the Ruhr area of western Germany during the Second World War would provide a more appropriate backdrop.
