Police investigating the murder of a man who was stabbed in Blackpool have identified the victim as Marcin Pawlow
Detectives arrested two more men, aged 52 and 32, on suspicion of murder in the resort last night – bringing the total number of people arrested so far to six.
The victim, a 30-year-old Polish man, was found on Central Drive with stab wounds to his hip, thigh and shoulder on Wednesday.
Officers were called to the street at around 1.05am by paramedics, who rushed the man to Blackpool Victoria Hospital, where he later died.
Four men were arrested on suspicion of murder on Wednesday, but a 34-year-old man was later released without charge.
The other three – aged 45, 31 and 33 – remained in custody on Thursday morning.
A post mortem showed Mr Pawlow died as a result of the stab wounds.
Det Supt Andy Murphy, of Lancashire Police, said the police have upped their patrols to reassure the public.
He said: “Our enquiries are continuing following the death of a 30-year-old man in Blackpool.
“This is a complex inquiry and at this time the motive of this attack is unclear and we have made several arrests.
“We know this incident must be concerning for people in the area and we have a number of extra officers on patrol to offer reassurance.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact police immediately on 101 quoting log reference 0066 of December 23.”
