Travellers were quickly moved on from a site set up on council-owned land.
The five caravans and six vans were on the field off Bathurst Avenue, Grange Park, for around 24 hours from Sunday to Monday.
Coun Gillian Campbell, Blackpool Council cabinet member for housing, public protection and streetscene, said: “Our officers visited the site along with the police and spoke to the group, advising them they were breaking the law and needed to leave.
“When we returned some time later they had done so.
“I would like to thank local residents for making us aware of the problem at an early stage, allowing us to act quickly. Neighbour Nadine Booth said: “There wasn’t any trouble, they were dumping bin bags onto Bathurst Avenue and driving their vans on and off the field.”
