Travellers who have occupied a Blackpool car park have been ordered to leave by tea-time today.
The group of about 30 vehicles arrived on South Car Park, off Yeadon Way, yesterday.
A spokesperson for Blackpool Council said it had issued a legal notice ordering the travellers to leave later today.
There are concerns if the group remains over the weekend, its presence will impact on tourism.
Coun Derek Robertson, who represents Waterloo ward, said: “I was alerted to it last night and I’m sure council officers will be dealing with it.
“But if the group stays over the weekend I think there will be concerns because that is one of the main tourist car parks.”
Fellow Waterloo councillor David O’Hara said: “The police and council are dealing with it.
“Hopefully they are proper travellers and will clear up when they leave.”
