His wife Michelle, a teacher at Highfield Humanities College, South Shore, has paid a moving tribute to her husband, describing him as a loving and devoted family man.

The couple had been married for 14 years and have a son.

She said: “Iain was a wonderful and devoted father, who loved his son to pieces.”

Two other people, who have not yet been named, are still in hospital after sustaining serious injuries in the crash.

A 5-year-old boy sustained head and abdominal injuries and a 61-year-old man sustained “serious multiple lower limb injuries”.

All three were from the same family.
