A period of testing has enabled the roundabout to be fully reopened - and here's what the new design looks like:
1.
Each phase of surfacing work included the replacement of the road markings and the installation sensor cables for the new traffic lights
2.
There will be some remaining activities, such as landscaping and the removal of the site compound area
3.
The A585 Norcross roundabout scheme supports a much wider strategy to resolve congestion in the area and improve the experience for our customers using the network
4.
The scheme will also benefit pedestrians and cyclists who will be able to use new controlled crossing facilities to navigate their way around the junction.
5.
Highways England aim to support the delivery of the economic and housing strategies of the three local councils of Wyre, Fylde and Blackpool
6.
It is hoped that the new design will alleviate congestion and improve customer journey time
