COMMUTERS were delayed this morning after a car struck the central reservation barrier on the M55.
The crash happened at around 6.25am this morning on the eastbound carriageway, close to junction three for Kirkham.
A rolling road block was implemented while the road was cleared of debris.
A spokesman for the Highways Agency said: “There was some minor damage to the barrier which will be repaired as part of our ongoing maintenance works.”
The motorway was fully opened again at 7.45am.
In a separate incident, three vehicles were involved in a crash close to the Farmers Arms on Lytham Road, South Shore at around 8.20pm on Sunday.
Police closed the road temporarily while the wreckage was cleared.
There were no reports of injury.
