RNLI volunteers carried out a full inspection of the craft and determined there was no damage.

The owner of the narrowboat was judged to be in no danger.

The lifeboat is now heading back to Lytham and the narrowboat is expected to be refloated on tonight’s high tide and anchored in the river.
