The Lytham RNLI lifeboat was called to rescue three people stranded on board a yacht.
The yacht, named Kingfisher, became grounded after hitting a sandbank as the tide was going out shortly after 5.15pm on Monday.
The three people onboard were taken back to the shore at Church Scar, Lytham, after the vessel was anchored and secured.
The owner of the boat told the RNLI crew they would recover the boat themselves.
A spokesman for the Coastguard, said: “The vessel wasn’t in any trouble.
“The people on board just didn’t want to stay on all night.”
