Police are appealing for witnesses after a Scottish holidaymaker died after being hit by a car in Blackpool.
Elizabeth Cornwell, 57, who is from Dundee, was hit by a Vauxhall Corsa as she was crossing Waterloo Road on Thursday.
She was taken to Royal Preston Hospital and initially her injuries were not thought to be life threatening.
However, her condition deteriorated and she died on Monday.
Police said Mrs Cornwell had been visiting family in the resort and other family members had travelled from Scotland to be at her bedside.
Sergeant Alan Baron, of Lancashire’s Road Polciing Unit said: “An investigation into the circumstances surrounding this collision is now underway.
“If anybody witnessed it and they haven’t already spoken to police then I would urge them to contact us.”
