THE family of tragic teenager Elysia Ashworth paid a final farewell to their beloved “thoughtful, caring” girl.
Family and friends wept as they watched Miss Ashworth’s father, Christopher, and her boyfriend, Robert Taylor, carry her coffin into St Annes United Reformed Church yesterday.
Beautiful pink and white flowers were laid near her coffin as around 260 mourners filled the church on St George’s Road to pay their respects to the 17-year-old student, who died following a car crash in Marton.
Her heartbroken father led the tributes with a moving eulogy. He said: “You had your life taken away so cruelly. I miss you so deeply.
“I am the luckiest person on earth to have been chosen to be your father.
