Emergency crews were called after a four car collision left a man with head and neck injuries.
Police, paramedics and firefighters were called to the incident on Mains Lane in Singleton around 5.15pm.
The collision between the four cars at traffic lights left a 54-year-old man with head and neck injuries.
Watch manager Michael Spencer, of Bispham fire station, said: “There had been a collision between four cars heading away from Blackpool.
“On arrival, police and ambulance crews were there.
“One person was trapped in one of the vehicles, a Ford Semax, complaining of head and neck injuries.
“We had to cut the roof off the car to safely remove him. The road was closed for around 30 to 40 minutes while this took place.
“The man was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital for treatment.”
