A MOTORCYCLIST is being treated in hospital after a road accident.

The 22-year-old man came off his Honda motorbike at around 7.36am on Monday. No other vehicles were involved.

Police were called to the incident, near the sports centre on West Park Drive, Blackpool, and paramedics also arrived at the scene to take the man, from Blackpool, to Victoria Hospital.

A spokesman for North West Ambulance said: “The man sustained some injuries, they were not life threatening or serious but he was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital.”

Ambulance crews reported fuel from the motorbike was leaking on a grass verge where the incident had happened.
