Paramedics attended after a cyclist was in collision with a car during morning traffic around Oxford Square, Blackpool

A cyclist suffered head and leg injuries and was left lying in the road after being involved in a collision with a car during rush hour traffic.

The incident happened at Oxford Square shortly before 8am on Wednesday, at the junction of Newhouse Road and Waterloo Road.

The cyclist suffered minor injuries and was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital.

The spokesman said: “The injuries don’t look to be serious or critical, just some minor bleeding.”
