A CYCLIST’S leg was impaled on his bike’s gear lever following a collision with a car.
Police shut off Forrest Gate and Mere Road, Blackpool, after the crash at 3.10pm yesterday.
A police spokesman said ambulance and fire crews were at the scene when they arrived and the cyclist, a 37-year-old man, was taken to hospital for treatment.
A fire service spokesman said the man had injured his leg on the gear lever of the bike. The roads were re-opened half an hour later.
