A TEENAGER knocked down by a bus is awaiting surgery.
The 16-year-old girl was hit as she crossed The Crescent in St Annes at around 5.30pm on Saturday.
Police today said the teenager is still recovering in hospital, waiting for surgery to a wound on her leg.
The girl also suffered head injuries after the accident shortly after the St Annes Christmas Lights Switch On.
Police closed off the road for around three hours following the incident before towing away the bus, which had a smashed windscreen.
