Child knocked down in Blackpool

A SEVEN-year-old boy has been taken to hospital following a collision with a car.

The incident happened near the roundabout at the junction of Devonshire Road and Warbreck Hill Road at 8.50am today.

The boy was taken by ambulance to Blackpool Victoria Hospital but his injuries were not believed to be serious.

Part of Devonshire Road was closed for a short time while police investigated the cause of the accident, which involved a Toyota Yaris.
