Crash closes Warton road

A TWO-car smash caused a road in Warton to be closed for more than an hour.

A black Ford Fiesta and red Volvo van carrying scaffolding collided on Church Road, near BAE Systems in Warton, at 9am today.

The male driver of the car was taken to Royal Preston Hospital with minor injuries.

The road was re-opened at 10.30am after the vehicles were removed from the scene.
