Drivers in Over Wyre at the weekend may have been met with a rather unusual sight.
For roads around the borough’s rural areas were taken over by around 50 tractors as part of efforts to raise money for charity.
The Fylde Country Life Preservation Society and local Young Farmers’ clubs held the tractor run to raise £2,000 for St John’s Hospice, in Lancaster.
The run saw the tractors drive through Pilling, Hambleton, Stalmine and Preesall before a barbecue back at the finish in Pilling.
And while the weather didn’t really play its part, organisers still declared the event a success.
Organiser Julia Lawrenson said: “It went very well considering the weather.
“It was absolutely tremendous and we had a turnout of about 150 people.”
