Fleetwood Town’s Peter Cavanagh dropped in on St Mary’s Catholic Primary School in the port.
The midfielder, 30, visited four classes and took questions from the youngsters.
Cavanagh, who has established himself as a regular in the Town side this season, said: “I really enjoyed the visit the children were really inquisitive.
“They asked some interesting questions about my career and about football in general.
“Strengthening our relationship with the schools and local community is very important.
“I know a lot of these children come and watch Fleetwood Town and that is something we want to grow.
“It was also good to see so many of our junior players at St Mary’s. The youngsters are the lifeblood of the club.”
