Top Gear star's time on back of truck

With the new series of Top Gear expected to hit TV screens in a the next few weeks, new presenter Matt LeBlanc has been speaking about what it's like to be on the show '“ and to break down on the way to Blackpool.

LeBlanc and co-presenter Chris Evans – pictured above on Lower Walk on the Promenade – drove to the resort before taking part in a series of challenges on Blackpool’s golden sands.

Asked what happened on the way to the resort, he said: “My car spent it’s time on the back of a truck, as did I. We took selfies with everyone while they were changing the radiator and the water pump, which then blew up again immediately.”

No date has yet been set for the new BBC2 series, but it is expected to screen in June.
