A TIP off to police led to a Blackpool man being caught-in-the-act while burgling a neighbour’s home.
Michael Robinson had jewellery, a camera and sat nav on him when found in the hallway.
A TV and satellite system had been moved towards the back door.
The 47-year-old was given 12 months prison, suspended for two years by a judge at Preston Crown Court.
Robinson, of Holmfield Road, North Shore, pleaded guilty to burglary.
He asked for another burglary, dating back to last September, to be taken into consideration.
Sara Dodd, prosecuting, said on the night of January 25 police received an anonymous call to report an intruder at the address on Holmfield Road. The people living there were away at the time.
He had 78 previous offences on his record.
Fraser Livesey, defending, said Robinson had a long criminal record, but in the last five years his offending had reduced. He had been responding well to drug treatment, he added.
