A SPECIAL carol singing party brought a smile to the faces of young and old.

The event was put on by Lytham-based Home Instead Senior Care, which invited its clients to join the local community in Christmas celebrations by singing some of their festive favourites and indulging in homemade mince pies and warm drinks.

Home Instead’s director Sophie Hoyle, who organised the event, said: “The carol concert was a great success. Regular events like these really help to bring older people together and give them something to look forward to, especially at this time of year.

“Some of our clients have no family around them, so it’s more important than ever to bring them some festive cheer at Christmas.”

The party was held at Lytham Assembly Rooms on Sunday.

Home Instead provides care to older people in their own homes across Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre.
