POLICE seized thousands of pounds worth of drugs after carrying out a raid at a Fleetwood property.
Officers wearing riot gear burst into the premises on Heathfield Road and found a substantial amount of drugs, believed to be amphetamine and cocaine and worth between £2,000 and £10,000.
The raid took place at 9pm on Thursday. A 40-year-old woman and two men, aged 19 and 41, were arrested on suspicion of possessing class A drugs with intent to supply.
Det Insp Neil Drummond, of Fleetwood police, said: “The operational support unit executed a rapid entry and neighbourhood police have been offering reassurance to the community.
“The action taken by police has seen a significant amount of harmful drugs being prevented from making their way onto the streets of Fleetwood.”
If the majority of the haul is found to be amphetamine, the drugs would have had a street value of around £2,000.
“But if the drugs are mostly cocaine, the value will be more like £10,000.
The neighbourhood police team have been offering reassurance to local people by speaking to residents and dropping leaflets off about the work to cut drug activity.
