A STELLAR line-up of performing aeroplanes soared into the resort for a spectacular display of air power.
The Blackpool Air Show welcomed stunt acts from all over the world, as they lit up the Promenade with their gutsy tricks.
Tens of thousands of people packed onto the Prom between North and Central piers to watch fearless members of the Breitling Wingwalkers wow the masses below with their dare-devil antics.
They were joined in the skies by the RAF Falcons parachute team, the Gyrocopter, and the powerful Tucano jet.
A tribute was also paid to some of the bravest men of the Second World War, when the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight’s Supermarine Spitfire and Dakota roared into town.
David Whitaker, 45, from North Shore, was watching the show with his two children Joel, 10, and Sarah, eight.
He said: “We love coming here and it’s always a great show.”
Jack Maguire, 26, from Bispham, added: “They all put on an unbelievable performance, and this is one of the highlights of the year in Blackpool.”
